Triangle Internet Service Review


Experience : 

It's may 5, 2021. I switched my ISP to Triangle. At April 28th, 2021 I along with three others got Triangle Internet connection. It was a good deal. They are providing at a minimum 25mbps for 1300 BDT. Till now we were getting 5mbps for 1000BDT so it's a big jump. The total cost was 3300 for the first month (2000 installation fee and 1300 for the first month). They have a good website and accounting system for all of their user. Any user can create a account and get his/her info online on a dashboard. We can change our pack, pay bill, change billing date and so on from that website alone. Their customer support is good too. They have a active mail helpline and also a call center for 24/7 support. They even called us to know everything was okay or not. They have a server called Elaach. We can watch live TV from there. It has a good connection with BDIX and the speed it 80mbps. The server also has great Movies, Tv shows and Game collection for fast download. As you may know, I play Valorant. They have a Valorant cache server so the update speed for the game is crazy fast. In Valorant, there are few servers to play in. Till now, we were playing in Singapore only. But triangle has better routing than our old ISP so we can play in Mumbai too. Although we faced some packet loss and hit registering problem, they ensured us that they are looking at the problem and will solve it as soon as possible.



Problems : 

In 'How I Met Your Mother' there was a term called the honeymoon period. It's the time when everything feels perfect and no problems are seen as problems and we deal with it with ease. This is the honeymoon period for us with Triangle. We got our connection in 28th April, 2021. But my connection was not up that night. Rest of our group got theirs but mine was delayed as my optical fiber connection was loosened. I called them and they asked me to wait. I waited but there were no signal till afternoon 29th April. I called them a number of time on 29th April and in the afternoon, one of their team came and recovered my connection. It took around four more hours till my connection was up and I got the mail about my PPPoE ID and Password. After connection, our new net was fine and fast. At May 1st, 2021 we got another problem. Our connection was lost again. Our old ISP came to one of our group's home to cut their connection and within minutes our connection was down. There was no signal in any of our lines. We contacted the customer support and they sent a team. Within hours the problem was solved. They said our connection was cut but they fixed it. 


Again in 2nd April, 2021. At around 8PM there was no signal. I contacted the customer service and they gave us hope that our connection will be up and running in a small amount of time. and it was up at 9:30 which is impressive I must say. The connection was cut this time too. They reconnecting within a hour is impressive. So we were happy and just started a competitive match and again our net was disconnected. There was no signal again. We called the customer support one more time and this time they again gave us hope to solve it. It was 11:30PM then and now it is 1:30 AM. The internet is still down. I can understand that they can not reconnect the connection at this hour but this should not have happened in the first place. There was a storm last night but that should not cut the optical fiver. Optical fiver should have been reliable. They should do a permanent solution to this cause it is not tolerable anymore. We were cut of three time in last three days. This was the main problem with our last ISP. The speed did not matter. I had a 6mbps line and that was enough for me. I did not need 25mbps and neither any of other people in my group. The only reason we switched was reliability. If a national ISP like Triangle can not provide with reliable Internet then it is truly disappointing. We are getting over the honeymoon period and if this continues, we may opt out from this ISP too. Hopefully they will do something about these problems cause solving these is a headache for them and for us too.


Final Words: 

The problem may be with the local ISP or the weather, they must find a reliable solution and fix this as soon as possible. I will keep the activity log for any query.
