Eid Ul Fitr 2021 || MysticPosting
Eid is a occasion of joy for all Muslims. As we know, there are two Eid in an Arabic Calendar. The first one being Eid-Ul-Fitr. In 2021 we are still fighting against Covid-19 but this Eid was one of the best Eid for me compared to last few years.
In previous years, all I used to do was sleep at home during the day and go out to meet some friends in my area at evening. We used to gossip for a few hour and then return back home like a regular day. But this year things were different. As I told in my previous post, we bought a new BBQ machine. So, we planned on having a BBQ party at Chaad Raat. We bought Nan at 8PM and headed to the rooftop. We were just four people that day. At around 10:30 we started the preparation for cooking. We pre-heated the machine and it was red as lava. We placed the chickens on the machine to cook. A few minutes later, the electricity connection was cut. So it paused our cooking. We tried to troubleshoot and found the wire were burned due to high electricity flow.
We hit a roadblock. The next option we had to manage another connection. I had a long multiplug which can go to the 5th floor of the building. Lucky for us, Rasha bhai's home was in 5th floor. We took the multiplug and sent it through balcony. We then had electricity connection. But not for long. After a few minute, we again found a connection lost. Rasha bhai returned home and found out that the plug was broken. There were no option for the plug to be repaired and we did not had spare plugs. So we cut the wires and put them directly to a socket. It was risky but that was the only option we had. We headed back and we had connection again. The chicken was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed the meal. We stayed till 2:30 AM and then returned home.
All of us were very exhausted. We figured that if we sleep at 3AM, there is no way we can get up at 8 or 7 AM. So we planned on staying awake. To stay awake we started playing Valorant. We played till 5AM and then we were off. I was watching Death Note that week. So I laid down and watched the final episode. I finished Death Note at around 6:45AM. At that time my parents were awake and was not happy seeing me awake. But did not say anything. I took shower and got ready to attend the EID prayer. I and Rasha bhai walked the whole area to find the first mosque that can complete the prayer. We found one in Kawla Bazar and said our prayer. After returning home I cleaned my messy room and went to bed. I woke up at 2PM on a phone call. I was asked to come Mirpur. As I did not had much plan myself, I agreed on going. I reached Mirpur and had lunch. Called a few more of my friends and chilled with them.
I was going to get back home though local bus. I got on one and after a few minutes I realized I did not have enough cash to pay for the fee. The fair was 45BDT but I only had 20. So I had to get of at ECB and searched for a Bkash store. Bkash stores are cunning. They do not provide cash out under 500. I asked them if I could get 200/300/400. The declined me. I asked if they can give me 500 but in 100 notes. They denied again. So after searching for around 15 min I cashed out 550 BDT and got on another bus. What a experience it had been!
In Bangladesh we get new trend every other week.. Many of them are trashes. Some are good. But every time they divide the nation in two half. One following the trend and another opposing the trend to be cool. My opinion is in the middle. I don't like most of the trends and so I do not follow them. But I do not shame or oppose other for following them. Like all time, we had a new trend this Eid which is to send SALAMI through Bkash. It appeared last year as a Profile Picture Frame but no one seemed to got on board to send Salami. This year, things were different. I received a surprising number of people sending me Salami. None of them were my relative. All of them were my friends or senior or junior. I repaid my junior with greater number but the did not resend Salami to my seniors. The amount they sent were not much. And even adding them does not make a considerable amount either but the fact that they sent Salami and recalled me felt very emotional. I even posted a Facebook Status on this regard.
